Reo was born in New Gridania the son of a young up and coming Musician and a Botanist. During his childhood he spent much of his time wandering the city as his father preformed in various parts of the city. The town seemed to always be alive with music and dancing and the sights never ceased to amaze a young Reo. As he grew older he grew more and more fond of the work that his father was doing and the joy that it brought to people when he preformed. He was determined to one day provide that same level of joy and satisfaction to the people. On the eve of his fifteenth name day he was gifted a small lute by his parents. A simple instrument they hoped would allow him to pick up the basics of music and performance before moving on to something more complex, perhaps following in his father footsteps and taking up the violin.Days passed, then weeks and months and there seemed to be no improvement in young Reo's playstyle, while the notes were right the rhythm was all but random. It seemed his mind knew what it should be doing but his fingers could not follow fast enough. Although they would never say it Reo felt as if he was failing to live up to expectations and slowly began to practice less and less choosing instead to retreat to his room at any chance he could. As he stared out the window the colors of the shroud seemed to dance before him. Amazed he on a whim decided to pick up some paints his family kept around the house and began to draw on the walls of his room. The colors were bright and blended to form lush trees to radiant flowers. When his mother came to check on him, she gasped in surprise at his actions, first appalled that he would deface the walls, but the anger quickly melted to amazement. As she called his father in the reaction was much in the same, and as they stood and watched as the painting grew larger and more detailed it seemed like perhaps Reo found where his passions met his skills. The years passed and with the support of his parents Reo's art improved steadily, as he was able to afford better supplies the quality of the work improved exponentially. Once he was happy with the results he began to sell them on the street, setting up a small stand near where his father would be playing music. Sales were few and far between but each gil exchanged acted as motivation to keep going and improving. Where once only one or two paintings would sell per week, soon dozens would sell per day. It seemed as if Reo had found his life's work. This would not last forever though. As demand grew he would spend more and more time painting, not that he minded, but his body seemed to have other plans. Where as before he would easily spend the better part of the day behind an easel now he would notice his hand begin to shake and cramp after only a few hours. Overexertion had finally caught up to him.As his stamina for painting seemed to decline he was left with no choice but to look for other means to express himself, music was out both for his lack of skill and that it would cause the same level of stress onto his hands. As he traveled around the continents looking for help he would eventually find himself in Kugane. As he made his way to the dock he would notice a merchant peddling some very futuristic looking wares, magitek was written a small sign scribbled on paper and hanging off one of the corners. As he approached the salesman began to explain what each of the gadgets did, most were meant to replicate magic and that was little interest to him, but one that was mentioned caught his ear. It was a device that could capture moments in time, as he looked through the lens it was explained that it would capture what ever was in frame on film and that film could be developed and the same image would appear. Astounded by this he would offer him everything he had on his person for the device and as much of the film it used as he could carry. As he returned home he would begin to mess with it taking his first picture out the same window which had inspired his first painting. When the film developed and the same bright colors appeared in photograph, he knew this was the answer to his problems.-----------Current Day-----------Today Reo spends his days becoming more and more familiar with the device and splitting his days between painting and practicing taking photographs. This schedule allowed him time to rest his hand and slowly the dexterity returned. People were confused by the new medium at first but quickly learned that its results could be equally as beautiful as something hand painted. When he travels he brings his device keeping it on the ready in case the chance to capture something appears. His passion however, is taking picture of the people he meets on his travels both just around the cities as well as in any establishments he vists.
